FREE PROGRAM - DEFY DIABETES

This program is funded by the New York State Health Foundation and supported by Seton Health.

The program consists of 4 Healthy Living classes, and the material will be taught by trained Faith Community Nurses and Cornell Cooperative Extension.  The class dates are Saturday, March 7, March 14, March 21 and March 28.  The purpose of the program is to assess risks for diabetes, diabetes education, healthy living style and making healthy food choices.  Each class will run from 10 am to 12 noon for each of the Saturday's mentioned.  We ask that you report to the 1st and 4th class at 9:30 am for paperwork and assessment (height, weight, blood pressure and waist circumference).

The class size is limited to 12 people.  It is recommended to register early to secure yourself a spot.
You need not be a parishioner to attend. All classes will be held at the Trinity Church parish hall. If interested please call the church and leave a message with your name and contact number or you can e mail me at the following address:
sal4vera@aol.com.

I will get back to you as soon as possible to take your registration information.  There is no cost for attending this program.  If the class fills up, your registration will be reserved for the next program which will run in the Fall 2009.
